Vacancy Call: Local Coordinator – Youth Activist Leadership Council Rupandehi
Background
The Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) partnership is dedicated to ensuring that young people, in all their diversity, enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in gender-just societies. The RHRN2 Nepal coalition, led by six diverse youth-led and youth-serving organizations, including YUWA, works collectively to unleash the power of youth, increase public support for SRHR, improve policies and laws, and strengthen civil society through lobbying and advocacy.
Introduction
YUWA, with the support of Right Here Right Now, is organizing an annual program called the Youth Activist Leadership Council in the Rupandehi district. In this regard, we are seeking a Local Coordinator based in Rupandehi to support our program.
Position: Local Coordinator
- Vacancy: 1
- Project: Youth Activist Leadership Council/ Right Here Right Now Nepal
- Workstation: Based in Rupandehi, Lumbini Province, with some travel to Kathmandu
- Duration: February – October
- Level of Engagement: This is not a full-time position; the candidate will work remotely and support the program team at the central office.

Minimum Academic Qualifications: Running bachelor’s degree in sociology, public health, development studies, or any relevant discipline.
Specific Skills:
- Skills and knowledge about the health system of Nepal
- Understanding health governance at the local health system level
- Prior experience with youth-led organizations for youth development activities
- Experience in providing strategic leadership and guidance to local youth clubs and groups
- Strong coordination and collaboration skills at federal and provincial levels
- Experience in knowledge management, including organizing events/webinars, drafting reports, and developing knowledge products
- Knowledge of financial and policy compliance, including budget planning and implementation
- Excellent knowledge and experience in project management, HR management, and M&E tools
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills (English and Nepali)
