Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Controls, Compliances, and Stewardship:

  • Provide recommendations on policies and procedures.
  • Ensure awareness of financial and compliance requirements among staff.
  • Adhere to partnership policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure financial integrity and implement transparent accounting practices.
  • Coordinate responses to Risk-Based Audits and external audits.

2. Project Budgeting, Analysis, and Forecasting:

  • Coordinate and finalize budgeting processes.
  • Responsible for project budget, cash flow, and funding.
  • Work on Mid-Term Budget Revisions.
  • Provide analysis and comments on project spending.
  • Monitor expenditures against plan/budget.
  • Analyze project budget for adherence to the Plan of Action (POA).

3. Recording and Reporting:

  • Implement and maintain accounting systems.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports.

4. Capacity Building:

  • Capacitate field and Partner NGOs (PNGOs) finance teams.

Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role:

Required Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial accounting, planning, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated mentoring, orientation, and training skills.
  • Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and travel across project areas.
  • Experience with MS Office, internet, and computerized accounting environments.

Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Studies, or Equivalent.
  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or Equivalent (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CIMA, CFA, ACCA, CA, CPA (preferred).
