Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national-level NGO dedicated to women’s human rights and empowerment through the protection and promotion of human rights and social justice. WOREC focuses on campaigns against violence against women and advocates for women’s economic, social, and cultural rights nationwide. Our operational districts with offices include Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Dang, Kailali, Rukum, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Kanchanpur, Jagarkot, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, and Saptari. The Central Office is in Lalitpur.

Position Title: Operation Manager (OM)
Duty Station: Central Office, Lalitpur, with frequent field visits

Job Summary:
The Operation Manager (OM) will manage and coordinate various operational functions, including Human Resources (HR), Logistics, Procurement, Administration, organizational software, and Audit, under the supervision of the Executive Director. The OM will work closely with different departments to support WOREC’s mission for a just society.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage or coordinate operational functions to meet WOREC’s standards, donor requirements, and local regulations, supporting high-quality programming.
  • Collaborate with program leads to ensure appropriate project expenditures and proper stewardship of material resources.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality support services. Identify and address challenges that affect the optimal utilization of program assets and resources.
  • Provide coaching to staff, develop individual development plans, and conduct performance management for direct reports. Ensure adequate capacity for high-quality programming support.
  • Guide internal processes for approving expenses, monitoring spending, and making budget adjustments in line with operational and programmatic needs and donor requirements.
  • Contribute to effective staffing, adherence to HR systems, and quality personnel administration. Promote a high-performance culture, staff development, and retention.
  • Coordinate compliance with agency and donor requirements, local laws, and regulations. Address issues from internal and external audits and guide improvements.
  • Maintain a learning environment that encourages the sharing of ideas and solutions and the capacity to respond quickly to deficiencies. Provide capacity strengthening guidance for project teams and partners.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of quarterly operational plans.
  • Analyze and update organizational policies and procedures as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, HR, logistics, or administration with progressive responsibilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, Rigo software, and budget management systems.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to district offices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience preferred, particularly within an NGO.
  • Understanding of financial systems, including budgeting and expense analysis.
