Overview: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu invites all interested applicants for the position of Program Management Assistant. This opportunity is open to the public, and the successful candidate will be responsible for highly responsible and complex program management, administrative, and logistical work.
Qualifications and Evaluations: Applicants must meet either Option 1 or Option 2 to qualify.
Option 1:
- Experience: Two years in criminal justice, law enforcement, civil affairs, or administrative functions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Education, or Business Management.
Option 2:
- Experience: Four years in criminal justice, law enforcement, civil affairs, or administrative functions.
- Education: Two years of college studies.
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of host country traditions, history, and political environment. Knowledge of Nepal law enforcement structures.
Language Skills:
- Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
- Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required.
Skills and Abilities: The ability to use various computer applications such as MS Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook, Power Point, Excel Spreadsheet, and database is required.
Security Clearance Required: Public Trust – Background Investigation
