Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA), Nepal’s first and only Infrastructure Development Bank, primarily promoted by the Government of Nepal and Financial Institutions, invites applications from Nepalese candidates for the CEO position. The CEO will oversee the Bank’s operations, building core strategies and achieving results across six critical success pillars essential for realizing the Bank’s vision of bridging the infrastructure financing gap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise low-cost, long-term investable funds from domestic and international capital markets through innovative instruments and blended capital.
- Ideate, structure, finance, and manage infrastructure projects using various models (PSP/PPP) to generate fee-based revenue.
- Conduct capital and asset-liability management planning.
- Engage with regulators, government agencies, and stakeholders to develop enabling policies and best practices.
- Enhance risk management, governance, and safeguards.
- Improve profitability indicators, meeting shareholder expectations, and expanding the Bank’s credibility among domestic and international stakeholders.
Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in management, banking, finance, economics, commerce, accountancy, statistics, mathematics, business administration, or law, OR
- At least ten years of officer-level experience in banking/finance, government, corporate bodies, universities, or international organizations with a Chartered Accountancy or Bachelor’s degree in related fields.
- Executive-level experience in Banks and Financial Institutions.
- Professional experience in investment and banking, with a preference for infrastructure financing.
- Experience in developing innovative products for sourcing low-cost investable funds from financial capital markets.
- Education and experience in Infrastructure Financing/Project Financing/PPP.
- Proven track record in infrastructure project identification, preparation, structuring, procurement, and financing.
- Leadership experience in Development Financial Institutions or Infrastructure Development Banks is preferred.
- Eligibility as per Nepal Rastra Bank regulations and no grounds for disqualification.
