Corus International, in collaboration with Lutheran World Relief Nepal, is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Assistant for the anticipated U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress project in Nepal. The project is designed to incorporate climate-smart technologies to enhance water-based agriculture value chains, improve access to final markets for farmers, expand agricultural production into trade for farmers, strengthen financial access for farmers, and address food security concerns for both the public and private sectors.

Role and Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of MEL activities for the project under the guidance of the MEL lead. Participate in program planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities, and contribute to the development of result frameworks, logic models, work plans, and evaluation plans. Provide support in regular monitoring and field data collection to ensure data quality and accuracy. Assist in training, integration, and maintenance of MEL databases, supporting MEL lead in ensuring data quality and compliance with provided guidelines. Support data analysis, data quality assurance, and interpretation for MEL lead. Participate in qualitative and quantitative data collection, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and case studies led by MEL lead. Contribute to the development of various communication materials and assist in the development of different communication tools as needed. Ensure the timely collection and analysis of project data and feedback for improvement. Prepare documents, reports, and presentations for beneficiaries, tracking tables, indicator tracking tables, and activity tracking tables. Review beneficiary tracking tables, indicator tracking tables, and activity tracking tables for the accuracy and integrity of data. Assist with the development of papers and reports for beneficiaries and for new proposals. Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in M&E, Statistics, Economics, Social Science, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in MEAL. Previous experience in partner management is an asset. Proficiency in computer and information technology, Microsoft Office Suite, online reporting, and result-based programming is essential. Experience with statistical analysis software (SPSS, STATA, NVivo, etc.) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to guide partner staff in data quality and management. Experience in data collection and analysis. Fluency in Nepali and English is required, and knowledge of Bhojpuri and Maithili languages is an asset.
