International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a Non-Government Organization established in 1952 and serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life to its fullness through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in health and community development services in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.

For the following position, Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre Pokhara and Shining Hospital Banke, is seeking competent, skilled, service oriented, and devoted Nepali citizens who share our vision, missions, and values.

1. Leprosy Program Assistant

Required Number: 1

Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The job holder is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementing of the leprosy program. Support the execution of strategies to raise awareness about leprosy and reduce stigma associated with the disease. Data recording and reporting, maintaining accurate records of program activities and providing support to facilitate leprosy awareness raising activities to enhance their understanding of leprosy, its transmission, and prevention.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have a Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine (Health Assistant) Or Proficiency Certificate level in Nursing with registration in the Nepal Government concerned council with at least 1 year of work experience in the field of leprosy program.
  • Good interpersonal skills, patience, empathy and ability to motivate and encourage people.
  • Ability to read and write in English and Nepali.
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power-Point) and database management.
  • Ability to keep all matters pertaining to patient care confidential.
  • Be honest and demonstrate integrity.
  • Having two wheelers driving skill with valid license.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of marginalized communities and a commitment to INF’s Vision, Mission and Values.

2. Leprosy Program Assistant

Required Number: 1

Location: Shining Hospital Nepalgunj, Banke

Purpose of the Job:

The job holder is responsible for implementing the planned project activities in coordination with the project head (INF SHIB) and community health facilities (RM health section and related health posts) reporting to the project head about implementation, including routine monthly reports and assisting the project head in conducting Basic Leprosy Training for health workers. To provide all data and information to the project head related to the project to assist in preparing monthly donor reports.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge: 

  • Must have a Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine (Health Assistant) with registration in the Nepal Government concerned council with at least 1 year of work experience in community mobilization work related to leprosy in the community.
  • Planning and capacity building of community members and local health structures.
  • Training completed on Basic Leprosy Training (BLT) and Comprehensive Leprosy Training (CLT) is an advantage.
  • Able to understand and communicate in different languages such as Nepali, Awadhi, Tharu.
  • Must have basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, facilitation skills, mobilization skills and communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively to work areas.
  • Must have a two wheeler (Bike or Scooter) valid government driving license.
  • Good understanding of, and able to demonstrate the values of INF and Dealing with others.
