Position: Private Sector Engagement Specialist
Duty Station: Project Support Unit (PSU), Bhaktapur
Job Description:
As a Private Sector Engagement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the engagement of the private sector in TVET, with a focus on Dual VET apprenticeship programs. Your responsibilities include developing a Private Sector Engagement strategy, linking TVET institutions with private sector firms, and developing Work-Based Learning programs. You will also support capacity building initiatives for business associations, foster public-private partnerships, and contribute to overall program goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Private Sector Engagement strategy.
- Lead the development of partnerships between TVET institutions and the private sector.
- Capacity building of business associations and their members.
- Support the development of apprenticeship/Work-Based Learning programs.
- Foster public-private partnerships in TVET.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Team Leader.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Private Sector Engagement (PSE), preferably in TVET programs.
- Thorough understanding of private sector principles and stakeholders in Nepal.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder mapping, outreach, engagement, and partnership development.
- Demonstrated success in working with senior private sector partners, donors, and international organizations.
- Commitment to gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
Duration: Till 2025 with the possibility of extension.
Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.
