Job Specification

  • CA/Semi qualified CA/ Bachelors in Management
  • At least one year of experience in BFIs with sound knowledge in account department.
  • Must have excellent communication skill (English, Nepali)
  • Ability to seek continuous improvements and recommend solutions. 
  • Age limit: Minimum 21 years and not exceeding 40 years.

Job Description

As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for various financial tasks including the preparation of financial statements, treasury management and compliance, NRB (Nepal Rastra Bank) reporting, MIS (Management Information System) preparation, and budget preparation with budgetary control. Your role will be integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial management to support the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of Financial Statements:

  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
  • Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.

Treasury Management and Compliance:

  • Manage cash flow by monitoring daily transactions and forecasting cash needs.
  • Coordinate with banks for fund transfers, deposits, and withdrawals.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies and procedures, including adherence to banking regulations and internal controls.

NRB Reporting and MIS Preparation:

  • Prepare and submit required reports to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain management information systems (MIS) to provide timely and accurate financial information to management for decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare various MIS reports as required by management.

Budget Preparation and Budgetary Control:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets in coordination with department heads and management.
  • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement budgetary control measures to ensure expenses are within approved limits and financial objectives are met.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance team members, department heads, and external auditors.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure understanding of financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues on financial matters as needed.
