Nepal Bank Limited Job Vacancy Notice – Chief Executive Officer
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has published a job vacancy notice for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a contract basis. Below are the details of the vacancy:
Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Minimum Educational Qualification and Work Experience:
- Graduate degree in Management, Banking, Finance, Monetary Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Law.
- Chartered accountancy or a graduate degree in management, banking, finance, monetary economics, commerce, statistics, accounting, mathematics, business administration, or law in the banking and financial sector, government agency, organization, university, or international association doing such work OR having at least ten years of working experience in an official level or above position in an organization.
- Meeting the criteria set by Nepal Rastra Bank regarding the appointment of the executive head.
Documents and Details to Be Submitted with the Application:
- Educational qualification and work experience documents.
- Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate.
- Detailed personal details (Bio Data) including email, telephone, mobile number, home or office address, signed at the end of each page.
- Each passport size photograph should be sealed in a separate envelope and submitted.
- Professional action plan along with the application sealed in a separate envelope.
- Departmental approval of the serving body if the candidate is currently employed.
- Copies of Nepali citizenship certificate and educational qualification certificate and work experience documents must be verified by the applicant.
Written Statements to Be Verified and Attached by the Applicant:
- Not being a member of any political party.
- No involvement in contracts or property transactions with the bank or personal interests.
- No convictions involving corruption, money laundering, banking offenses, or moral turpitude.
- No convictions for corruption, dishonesty, fraud, or involvement in adultery.
- Not included in the Credit Information Center blacklist.
- Tax payment certificate for the financial year 2078/79.
- Having no personal property left in the applicant’s name.
- Compliance with relevant laws, including Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, Integrated Instructions issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, and Regulations on Qualifications and Work Experience Required for the Appointment of Managers and Executive Heads of Banks or Financial Institutions issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, 2074.
Professional Action Plan:
- An action plan prepared by the candidate, not exceeding 5000 words, along with a soft copy (Pen Drive) should be submitted. The plan should align with the Terms of Reference (TOR) and appointment of Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Bank Limited.
Selection Basis and Procedure:
- Candidates will be evaluated based on their educational qualifications, work experience, and submitted professional work plan. Those who score at least 60 percent marks will be shortlisted for the presentation of the professional work plan and an interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will present their professional action plans on specified dates.
- The top three candidates with the highest marks based on educational qualifications, work experience, assessment of the professional work plan, and interview will be recommended to the Board of Directors in alphabetical order.
Please note that the selection process will strictly adhere to the provisions of the Act on Banks and Financial Institutions, 2073, and the related regulations issued by Nepal Rastra Bank.
