Public Service Commission, Mahendranagar Office Mahut (Elephant Caretaker) Post – Interview Notice

The Public Service Commission, Mahendranagar Office, Kanchanpur, Nepal, is pleased to announce the establishment of an examination center for the practical test and interview program for the Mahut (Elephant Caretaker) post under Advertisement No. 16376-16377/079-80 (Madhesi/Dalit) in the Nepal Forest Service. This notification is intended to inform all concerned individuals about the upcoming examination procedures and requirements.

Examination Schedule and Venue:

First Phase: Practical Test

• Subjects/Functions:
  • Tethering and untying elephants
  • Riding techniques
  • Making kuchi (elephant goad)
  • Identification of grass/grazing
  • Making saddles and houdas (elephant seats)
  • Climbing trees
• Venue: Hattisar Branch of Shuklaphanta National Park Office, Piparia, Kanchanpur.

Second Phase:

• Venue of Examination:
  • (b) Swimming: Panda’s Restaurant and Swimming Pool, BHP-1, Bhansi (Opposite Petrol Pump), Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur.
  • (c) Interview: Public Service Commission, Mahendranagar Office, Kanchanpur.

Candidate Requirements and Guidelines:

1. Candidates participating in the practical examination must be in good health. They are required to submit a self-declaration letter, stating their responsibility for any potential accidents during the examination.
2. Strict adherence to instructions provided by the examination staff at each stage of the examination is mandatory. Candidates are expected to wait their turn and conduct themselves with dignity.
3. Candidates are responsible for the safety of their belongings during the examination.
4. Candidates must come prepared with appropriate swimwear for the swimming test.
5. In case of an unexpected holiday on the examination day, the examination will proceed as scheduled unless notified otherwise by the Commission in advance.
