Job Description: Join the dynamic team as a Technical Officer β Career Guidance, working in close coordination with the Technical Coordinator. You will be responsible for supporting community schools in planning and implementing career guidance programs, coordinating with local governments, and organizing career fairs and events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Compliance of Policies, Guidelines, and Manuals:
- Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Contribute to Conflict Sensitive Programme Management.
- Programme Implementation and Coordination (40%):
- Facilitate LGs and community schools in planning and implementing career guidance.
- Support selected community schools in organizing various activities.
- Provide support for developing career guidance materials.
- Management (20%):
- Support overall management of the career guidance component.
- Oversee the performance of implementing partners and schools.
- Monitoring and Knowledge Management (20%):
- Monitor career guidance activities.
- Compile information and produce reports.
- Support in developing progress reports.
- Coordination, Collaboration, and Networking (20%):
- Establish communication mechanisms for coordination among stakeholders.
- Coordinate and provide necessary support to relevant stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- Perform other tasks as per the projectβs requirement.
- Be proactive in bringing innovations and taking new initiatives into the program and the organization.
Required Skills and Competencies: A. Minimum Education Attainment: Minimum Bachelorβs Degree in Psychology, Social Science, Management, or any relevant discipline.
B. Minimum Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of overall experience.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with students and youths.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in providing career guidance services.
C. Required Competencies:
- Two-wheeler driving skill with a valid driving license is compulsory.
- Sound understanding of lifelong learning, guidance/counseling approaches, and personality tests.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- High level of integrity and professional code of ethics.
- Good understanding of the TVET sector and economic development in Nepal.
- Demonstrated skills in capacity building and institutionalization support.
- Strong motivator, team player, and coach.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and programmatic competencies.
- Excellent reporting and writing skills.
- Result-oriented mentality.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
- Excellent written and oral communication in Nepali and English.
- IT proficiency in using office application software.
