Secondary Education Exam (SEE) Exam Routine 2080:

The National Examination Board (NEB) of Nepal has officially announced the Secondary Education Examination (SEE)/Class 10 Exam Routine for the year 2080. This exam will be conducted from Chaitra 15th to Chaitra 27th, 2080 (Thursday, 28 March 2024 to Tuesday, 9 April 2024). Please find below important details and guidelines related to the examination:

Record Registration Numbers:

  • This year has witnessed an unprecedented number of registrations, with a total of 489,444 candidates preparing to undertake the examination.
  • Gender distribution is nearly even, with 246,004 male and 243,440 female candidates, reflecting the inclusive nature of education in Nepal.

Geographical Distribution of Candidates:

  • Madhesh Province: 41,416 males and 40,797 females
  • Bagmati Province: 53,036 males and 50,420 females

  • Karnali: 16,020 males and 16,318 females
  • Far West: 27,809 males and 28,716 females

Examination Details and Instructions:

  • The SEE 2080 will be conducted under a new syllabus, introducing a letter marking system where scores below 35 percent will be designated as non-graded (NG).
  • Students failing in up to two subjects will have the opportunity for grade improvement through subsequent examinations.

Key Guidelines for Candidates and Examination Centers:

  • Examination Timing: All exams will run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
  • Written Test Duration: New syllabus 75-mark tests will have a 3-hour duration, and 50-mark tests will last for 2 hours.
  • Emergency Provisions: Examinations will proceed as scheduled unless an emergency declaration from the NEB necessitates postponement.
  • Unified Examination for Regular and Grade Increase Candidates: Both groups will sit for their exams simultaneously.
  • Admit Card Requirement: Entry into the examination hall will require a valid admit card.
  • Examination Center Information: Details regarding examination centers will be communicated through the Education Development Directorate and Education Development and Coordination Units.

Mandatory Examination Center and Schedule Adherence:

  • No alternate arrangements will be provided for candidates missing their scheduled exams.
  • Adherence to Assigned Symbol Numbers: Candidates must use the symbol number provided on their admit card; deviations will lead to automatic examination cancellation.
  • Special Arrangements for Disabled Examinees: Examination centers are instructed to coordinate necessary facilitations for disabled candidates.

Examination Center Consistency:

  • No changes will be made to the examination center allocations for both regular and grade improvement groups.
