Other Specification
- Bachelor or Above Degree in Science/Engineering/Management with 2-5 years of experience in handling E&S/EHS-related responsibilities.
- Additional experience in Occupational Health and Safety is an advantage.
- ISO 45001 lead auditor certification (preferable); OHS certification (NEBOSH, etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Nepal and International laws, regulations, and international practice.
- A deep understanding of Occupational Health Risks and Safety is an advantage.
- Good Knowledge of IFC Performance Standards.
- Flexible in travel In/Out of Nepal.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Nepali and English with effective writing.
- Result-oriented, team player, an articulate analyst with attention to detail, a persuasive communicator, and a good report writer.
Job Description
- He/She shall be reporting to E&S Lead – Corporate.
- Support E&S Lead – Corporate with periodic site inspection/audits and monitoring, including incident investigations.
- Assist the Company in demonstrating compliance with E&S policies, applicable E&S laws and regulations, including any applicable International Standards.
- Monitoring and reporting of Health and Safety KPIs of various departments to E&S Lead – Corporate every month.
- Conduct periodic H&S site assessments and reporting to E&S Lead – Corporate.
- Support E&S Lead with EHS risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning of Company operations, including OHS, Fire, Emergency, Projects, etc.
- Prepare/update and drive the implementation of Job Hazard Analysis, site-specific E&S Management Plans, and Emergency Preparedness and Response Program.
- Preparing and maintaining the database related to Health & Safety documentation.
- Supporting the HR Coordinator in designing and implementing training plans for Health & Safety.
- Provide safety practices and policy training to appropriate sites, warehouses, and front office personnel, and ensure relevant employees and contractors receive appropriate training.
