MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT
For Officer Level
Master’s Degree in the field of Law with at least 2 years of work experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Law with at least 3 years of work experience
For Junior Officer Level
Master’s Degree in the field of Law with minimum 50% marks or CGPA 2.5 with at least 1.5 years of work experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Law with minimum 50% marks or CGPA 2.5 with at least 2.5 years of work experience
Note: Preference will be given to candidates having background in commercial law studies and working exposure in Commercial Banks.
AGE LIMIT
Officer Level:
Male: Age not exceeding 40 years as on application deadline
Female: Age not exceeding 45 years as on application deadline
Junior Officer Level:
Male: Age not exceeding 35 years as on application deadline
Female:Age not exceeding 40 years as on application deadline
Advocate License
Officer Level: Must be certified as an advocate by Nepal Bar Council
Junior Officer Level: Priority shall be given to candidates certified as an advocate by Nepal Bar Council
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Prepare and submit legal documents to the courts and other governmental and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare legal document/drafts like petition, claims, written reply, rejoinders, deeds and any other legal draft on behalf of the Bank to be submitted before different courts/offices as per necessity,
- Draft legal agreement, legal notice, affidavit, deeds etc. for and on behalf of the Bank.
- Represent the bank to the courts and other judicial/administrative bodies on legal matters/issues as waris as well as Attorney at law.
- Carry legal audit of the security documents of the Bank as and when assigned,
- Follow up with courts and other offices in order to obtain current status of the cases/applications of the Bank to complete the required task.
- Assist department head in recovery and related legal actions in loan recovery process of the bank
- Maintain updated records of relevant Acts of Parliament, rules and regulation and guidelines, directives, circulars issued by Regulators and government agencies Kanoon patrika, Nepal Rajpatra and other legal journal/periodicals
- Keep up-to-date records of all flies, correspondences to and from different institutions, legal and other types of documents, books etc.
REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
- Excellent Knowledge on Nepalese legal system, legislative and other legal provision as well as their amendment
- Excellent knowledge of Nepalese Legal and court system, laws relating to banking, Company administration, securities transactions, industrial relations, international trade and arbitration, NRB Directives, Circulars, Manuals of the bank and other applicable laws, rules and regulation
- Knowledge of drafting skills on contracts, legal deeds and related documents
- High degree of professionalism
- Good analytical, networking and communication skills
