About Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO) Nepal
TPO Nepal is a prominent psychosocial organization in Nepal, founded in 2005. It is dedicated to enhancing the psychosocial well-being and mental health of individuals in conflict-affected and vulnerable communities. TPO Nepal achieves this through the establishment of sustainable, culturally relevant, and community-based psychosocial support systems.
Project Information: ALIVE – Economic Intervention Trainers
The ALIVE project is a research initiative focused on developing and testing interventions to prevent depression and anxiety among adolescents aged 13-15 living in economically disadvantaged urban areas in Nepal. TPO Nepal is the implementing organization for this project with support from the Wellcome Trust via King’s College London. The intervention will be delivered in weekly sessions over 24 weeks by trained facilitators, with supervision and monitoring by experienced supervisors.
Position: Intervention Supervisors/Trainers (Economic)

Major Responsibilities:
The Intervention Supervisors/Trainers (Economic) will assume the following key responsibilities:
- Participate in Training of Trainers (ToT) to train intervention facilitators for implementing the economic intervention among the research participants (adolescents and caregivers).
- Engage in practice rounds to deliver training to facilitators, ensuring self-competency.
- Lead the training of intervention facilitators based on ToT and intervention manuals.
- Ensure the quality and fidelity of intervention sessions conducted by facilitators.
- Facilitate and support the coordination and implementation of group interventions among research participants.
- Provide regular supervision to trained facilitators during practice sessions and actual intervention implementation.
- Prepare periodic training and supervision reports, providing regular updates to the project team.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, business, finance, or related fields.
- Experience in conducting training on financial, cooperative, or microfinance management, with a basic understanding of financial management skills.
- Previous experience working with adolescents.
- Proficiency in conducting in-person training, with skills and knowledge in training supervision.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (Note: ToT will be conducted in English).
- Experience in training and supervising community-based livelihood workers is an advantage.
- Age between 25-40 years.
- Possessing a valid motorbike or scooter driving license and a passport is an added asset.
